About

EuroPython 2010 Mobile Schedule

This an entirely unofficial mobile schedule by @bruntonspall and @bfirsh for EuroPython 2010, based off an app for the 2010 CodeMash by Jonathan Penn. You can get the code for our fork on github.

Hey, it's 2010! Paper schedules are so last decade. Install this website on your iPhone/iPod touch by tapping the "+" button at the bottom of Mobile Safari. Or just use this site from any WebKit browser. The app is cached offline and will automatically download new versions.

Here's what you get:

It's built with HTML5 and customized for the iPhone/iPod Touch by the jQTouch plugin for jQuery. It's served up to you by a Ruby/Rack application on Heroku.

It's open source! Get the code on github.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or if you notice anything amiss.

Change Log

Version 10

Fixed some more style issues.

Version 9

Fixed a content bug in one of the session details.

Version 8

You can now search by title and author!

Version 7

Updated schedule.js to include repeat sessions.

Version 6

Updated schedule.js with new sessions from the API.

Version 5

Now handles "all week" sessions.

Version 4

You can now view the conference center map from the main menu!

When you're looking at a session's detail screen, you can also tap on the room and it pops up in the map.

Version 3

Added the ability to flag sessions as "favorites".

Note, the favoriting mechanism depends on uniquely identifying sessions. Currently, the only unique identifier provided by the CodeMash API is the URI of a session. If that changes for any marked sessions, they won't be marked anymore.

Version 2

Rewritten to support the Codemash session API.
